BEST Yugioh Card Sleeves

Both Dragon Shield and KMC make high quality sleeves that feel good to shuffle, have a satisfying compression effect, and are reasonably priced.

My experience:

I am going to be comparing several sleeves companies based on my experience using their products over many years. The only exception to this are the Katana sleeves. These are the newest card sleeves I have been testing out this past year. Ultra pro, Dragon Shield, and KMC sleeves are companies I have purchased sleeves from for many years.

Card Sleeves:

KMC: My favorite card sleeves. I love how these sleeves feel while shuffling and holding in my hands. These sleeves are cushiony which gives them a satisfying feel however rugged enough to hold up over a long period of time. These sleeves also snap nicely and give significance to my cards when I put them on the battlefield. Overall a great and consistent product coming from KMC. These have been my go-to company for the last few years for Yugioh and MTG.

Dragon Shield: These sleeves are very similar to the quality KMC delivers. Another great product in my opinion! A sane person might not notice any significant differences between these 2 products. However if you are weird like me, you might find that one naturally feels better than the other for some oddly specific reasons that you cannot identify. I recommend trying both of these sleeves out to see which you prefer!

Out of the box, the only big difference I can identify is that the these sleeves are typically more slippery than any other sleeves I have used. This can be a good thing if you prefer your card to behave this way, however I do not. For me, the KMC sleeves have just enough slide to them without over doing it. However regardless, over time this effect will wear off of any sleeves you buy.

Ultra Pro: I sadly cannot recommend these sleeves. Out of all the card sleeve products, these are my least favorite. I strongly dislike the flashy sticker on the sleeves which block either part of the card title or card description. I have no idea why this is on the sleeves since it provides no positive functions. The card sleeves also feel unpleasant to shuffle and provide no satisfying compression effect. The card quality feels more rough similar to that of fine sand paper. Since these sleeves are close to the same price as high quality sleeves, I cannot recommend these at all.

Katana: These are the newest sleeves I have been trying. I am impressed with the quality Ultimate Guard has been generating. These sleeves shuffle nicely and have a wonderful compression effect when you press down on a deck of cards. Due to my limited experience using these sleeves, I still need to try these out more before I can fully recommend. They are a worthy contender!

Double Sleeving:

If you do wish to double sleeve your cards, I recommend buying the perfect fit sleeves from the same company that your purchased the normal sleeves from. If you purchased sleeves from KMC, I would buy the KMC perfect fits.

In theory as long as the size of the sleeve is less than the normal sleeve and larger than the Yugioh card, the sleeve will fit. However, I would think companies design their perfect fit sleeves to perfectly fit the specific sizing of their sleeves.

Both KMC and Dragon Shield make quality perfect fit sleeves!
